Peterson Machining was opened in 1989 by president, Todd Peterson. Todd grew up in Iowa and earned his degree in Tool and Die design. Climbing was his passion, so after graduating he headed for Colorado with an old Falcon wagon and $300.00. He worked for several local machine shops as a conventional machinist, a CNC machinist as well as an automated machine builder. With his meticulous way of creating parts and his attention to detail, the timing was right to fulfill his dream and open his own shop.

Todd Peterson

Over the last 21 years Peterson Machining has produced parts for medical, aerospace, research and even parts that have orbited the sun. In 2002 Todd brought his companion into the shop. His wife, Ronda is his shop partner. She works with customers, coordinates shop operations and all details of running the shop. She previously owned and ran her own Martial Arts school for 14 years and is not a stranger to operating a business that is detail-oriented.

As of October 1, 2011, Ronda Turner Peterson is now the new CEO of the company and Peterson Machining is now a woman-owned business. Mr. Peterson continues to be the Chief Operations Officer. We are a small shop here in Boulder, Colorado. Supporting US manufacturing is now vital to our country's well being.
